We’ve installed some new flooring in our strength area!
We’re absolutely thrilled with the new rubber flooring from Origin Fitness. Their installation team were outstanding — they shifted all the heavy strength kit, removed the old flooring, and laid the new matting in under six hours.
The space looks brighter, fresher, and has a real lift- more energy about it.

Our parking bays have moved!
We’re pleased to announce that from August 2025, member parking has relocated to a new section of the car park. You’ll find the updated location on the map below — it’s just as convenient as before, if not a touch closer!
Even better news: we’ve tripled the number of available spaces, making parking easier and more accessible for everyone. Please use the three rows marked for Beckwith Gym.
As always, we kindly ask that you continue to park considerately, using only the designated gym bays, so that all our members can enjoy the improved access.
Beckwith Rounders and Social
On Saturday, 9th August, Beckwith members and the Fitness Team came together for an afternoon of rounders on The Stray.
The event was a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the sunshine, get active, and connect with fellow members in a relaxed, friendly setting.
Following the games, the group headed to North Bar in town, where the social continued over drinks, pizza, and great conversation. It was a fantastic way to round off the day and celebrate the spirit of community that makes Beckwith so special.
Thanks to everyone who came along—we’re already looking forward to the next one!

EGYM Open Mode
Have you tried Open Mode on EGYM yet?
Our EGYM Chest Press machine is currently set to operate on both Circuit Mode and Open Mode. This gives the user the choice to work out in the same way as with conventional plug-in weights: simply set the machine to your personal size, select the weight, and off you go.
The Open Mode machines are not synchronized, allowing for a workout like existing members are used to with plug-in weights. So, even if you are not set up on EGYM, you can try it!
Don’t worry: if you are planning to come in to do an EGYM circuit or two, you will still be able to! If you get stuck, just speak to one of the team members, who will happily assist.
Our Fat Loss Tool Kit Program returned for 2025!
Our 2025 Fat Loss Toolkit kicked off with Miles heading up the 12-week program for our members looking to achieve fat loss.
Don’t worry if you missed the signup; you can register your interest for a future Fat Loss Tool Kit program.
