Why did you become a Personal Trainer?

I became a fitness instructor to follow up my passion for training and to help others get involved. I want to offer them an insight into the world of benefits it offers. When I initially started training, I struggled to even walk through the gym doors, let alone have the confidence to train!  Over time, my confidence grew and so did my love for training.

I want to help other people break that same barrier and build up their confidence in the gym.

Overall, my aim is to help people be confident and have fun in their training! This is why I chose to set up my personal training business ‘Break the Barrier Coaching’ and help welcome others into the world of fitness.

What do you do in your own training?

My training is mainly built around physique conditioning.

However, I am always looking for new and different ways to train. I like to switch my training up to keep it interesting and challenging!

I try to base my training around my hobbies that I do outside the gym – climbing and mountain biking.

What are your areas of expertise?

My area of expertise is mainly muscle hypertrophy and physique conditioning.

I also spend a lot of my time looking into the psychological part of training.

  • Level 3 Personal trainer

Favourite cheat meal?

My favourite meal has to be a double cheeseburger… maybe with a thick slice of chocolate cake to finish!
