Why did you become a Fitness Instructor?
I have always had a strong passion for sport and exercise. During my childhood and teen years, I participated, competed and coached in various sports. It was at University I took an interest in fitness training, more specifically weight training and powerlifting. The Beckwith team were kind enough to take me on for work experience as a fitness instructor during university. I found a significant feeling of achievement helping others achieve their short and long term goals. It was during this experience I decided my career path was best suited to fitness instructing.
What do you do in your own training?
I focus my training sessions around developing and strengthening the 3 compound movements; Squat/ Bench Press/ Deadlift. I also love a classic 30 minute HIIT session.
Favourite Cheat Meal?
Large ham and pineapple Dominos pizza with chicken kickers and cookies!
What are your areas of expertise?
Muscular hypertrophy, HIIT and cardiovascular disease prevention.
