I have always believed that health and fitness are the true sources of happiness… So welcome to your fitness and your happiness journey!
Having been raised in South Africa, I dreamed of being a Sports Star when I was younger and was always on the Sports field. But my dreams of sports fame ended however with a bad knee injury sustained on the Netball Field, whilst competing for my Provincial Colours.
I never let this stop me and as soon as I could, I trained and began competing in endurance and strength events such as the Warrior Races. This really gave me the motivation to become a physically stronger person and that was when I started resistance-based gym training. That was over 20 years ago…
Despite always wanting to be a Personal Trainer, I detoured into the corporate world for 14 years and also had three wonderful children. As soon as I could, I was back in the gym and in 2016 managed to secure a bronze medal in the IFBB Bodybuilding Bikini Competition.
After relocating to Harrogate in 2019 I decided to choose Personal Training as my profession.
A job I love and cherish every day.
I am currently studying for my Level 3 Diploma in Exercise Referral as well as Nutrition. I believe these go hand in hand and am always available to offer advice on healthy eating plans.
I am sure you are like me you want to keep healthy, stay strong, remain positive and in the end, be happy! This we can achieve together… So far, I have only ever had success with all my clients and no one has ever been left behind.
My specialities? They are in Legs, Shoulder and Back Training… Leg Press is my go-to exercise, for the Back, I like concentrated Lat pull down.
But don’t be scared, training usually begins with us doing HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) to build up our strength and endurance.
I can honestly say, I have had real success helping clients who want to increase strength, endurance and weight loss.
I believe it is my Enthusiasm, Encouragement and Motivation that will help you reach your goals.
I can help with 1-2-1 training, online training or group sessions.
As for me, my favourites foods are Italian (and the Romance of Italy) and BBQ (or a Braai) with a good glass of South African Red wine from the Cape.
