Our Pilates class is not to be missed! Pilates concentrates on strengthening the whole body with particular emphasis on core strength through a variety of controlled movements. A strong core is key to successful exercise.
Strong core muscles make it easier to do most physical activities whereas a weak core can lead to fatigue, poor posture, lower back pain and muscle injuries. Pilates strengthens the core whilst encouraging pelvic stability making it a particularly effective tool in the prevention and treatment of back pain.

Low to Moderate Intensity
Everything – no muscle left unloved! But primary focus on building core strength and developing muscles that support the spine.

Suitable for both men and women it has been adopted by top athletes and professional sports clubs/associations the world over however it is also an effective form of exercise for more vulnerable members of the population.
Exercises are structured to meet individual needs and can be progressed or adapted to suit each client. There is a keen focus on core (deep internal stomach muscles, internal and external oblique muscles and those surrounding your spine).

The Lift-IIT experience will incorporate basic strength training exercises with barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells and bands, intermingled with short HIIT-type cardio bursts.
PILATES
These classes are based on core stability with particular emphasis on strengthening the abdominals to support the spine in everyday activity.
