What is Beckwith’s Fundraising Policy?

At Beckwith Health Club, we aim to support our members’ fundraising efforts in as many different ways as we can.

This isn’t limited to fitness-related charities or challenges: as you can see from the examples below, we’ve supported a great variety of fundraising efforts so far, and we’re looking forward to supporting more!

How We Get Involved

For each member’s fundraising effort, we commit to donating the equivalent to a month’s membership fee.

To help us get involved, reach out to us via Instagram, Facebook, or come say hi in the gym. We’re looking forward to hearing more about all the causes our members are raising money for!

Social media can make a huge difference when it comes to fundraising – if you share details with us about your project, we’ll keep our followers posted about your efforts. We’ll also be sure to include a link to your fundraising on any of our posts and stories about it.

The more people we get involved in a good cause, the better!

Our Members’ Fundraising

So far, members have raised money for many different charities, both locally and nationally.

Here are some of the charities and fundraisers they’ve supported…

Action Medical Research

Mark participated in the gruelling “Dawn to Dusk Triple Challenge” in the Lake District in summer 2022. The triathlon-style charity challenge involves competing in teams in three different sports: cycling, hiking and caneoing.

Mark raised hundreds of pounds to support Action Medical Research in their life-saving work towards researching various diseases and illnesses – amazing work!

Fundraiser for Thomas

Matt climbed the Three Peaks in 12 hours to raise money for treatment to give Thomas the opportunity to learn to walk. Matt did an amazing job climbing Yorkshire’s Three Peaks – not your every day visit to the peaks!

Multiple Sclerosis Society

Jeremy raised funds for the MS Society by completing ‘The Big Leap”, an impressive feat. To raise these much-needed funds, Jeremy jumped out of a plane by parachute at an elevation of 10,000 feet!

… And So Many More!

Our members have also supported charities including the Bone Cancer Research Trust, Cancer Research UK, and lots more. Congratulations and thank you to everyone’s efforts.

Please reach out to a member of the team or via social media if you’d like to share your fundraising story with us.

We’re also always here to support our community, such as in last year’s Great North Run – keep an eye out on our social media for where we’ll be!
